If you are going natural or are natural, well here are a few tips for you. First of all you have to think of your hair as grass or a plant because you have to keep it moisturized and not let it dry out and get brittle. Natural hair is not any easy up keep, but once you find what works for you, then it's an easy up keep. Tips are mines and some from others that have helped me.

Hair Products
I was a product junkie, trying all kinds of things to see what would work for my hair. When trying products for your hair, you want to give it at least three weeks to see if it works for you. After that, you can try something different. There are things that you also want to watch out for in your hair products because they can dry your hair out and make it brittle and even drier. Here are some things to watch out for in your hair products. You don't want these things in your moisturizers; petrolatum, mineral oil and its by-products. Wax Ester, Hydrocarbon Oils and Waxes - Paraffin, Silicone Waxes, Ceresin, Silicone Oils and Ozokerite. Polyhydric Alcohol Esters - Propylene Glycol, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), Sorbitan (Tweens), Mono and Di-Fatty Acid Esters of Ethylene Glycols, Polyoxyethylene Sorbitol, Diethylene Glycols. Isopropyl Alcohol, Aluminum, Cocamide (DEA, DEA-CETYL phosphates, DEA_OLETH-3, Myristamide DEA, Stearamide MEA, Cocamide MEA. Lauramide MEA, Oleamide DEA and TEA_Lauryl Sulfate.). Now here are the things you want to look for in your moisturizers, but make sure the first ingredient is WATER. Wax Esters - Beewax, Lanolin (wool), Jojoba, Candelilla, Carnauba, Steroid Alcohols - Cetyl, Stearyl, Oleyl, Lauryl Triglyceride Esters, Vegetable/African Butters - (Shea, Olive and Avocado Butters), Phospholipids - Lecithin, Polyhydric Alcohol Esters - Sorbital, Glycerin, Mannitol. Fatty Alcohol Esters - Oleyl Hydrophilie, Lanolin Derivatives - Natural Lanolin, Carrier Oils - Grapeseed, Wheat Germ and Jojoba Oils. I know this is a lot to take in, but in time you will have no problem recongizing these products. What I did was carry a list around for a while until I got use to what not to have in my products and then I was fine. I have found what works for me, so now you have to do the same for your moisturizer. These were tips that I received from other people and are sharing with you, so I hope they will be helpful to you as they were to Me.
